A Mommy/Emmy date

Today Emmy and I just wanted to get out of the house. So what did we do? Went shopping of course. However, things are tight at the DeHart household so we did shopping for my mother. All those pesky stocking stuffers, etc that she just hasn't had time to get yet. We went to Penn Square Mall and you'd have thought that it was a weekend! The place was packed. Since we didn't get a stroller off our registry, we are borrowing Courtni and Nathan's jogging stroller. Emmy's car seat sits right down in it and voila! We're off. Except that it's pretty big as strollers go. I saw bigger ones for sure but this one is big. I called Court today to ask her if she ever got the feeling people were secretly cursing at her when she used it. lol. One time I figured a whole elevator full of people were about to kill me because I almost cost them a ride up because it took so long for me to get the stroller out of the elevator. I just kept bumping into things.

When we first got to the mall, I went to the family bathroom (how nice to be able to use that?) to change Emmy's diaper and fix her a bottle because she was definitely a hungry girl. I was so proud of myself for being such a good mommy. :) When we were finished there, we headed to Macy's to make a purchase for my nana. We were almost to the store entrance when I realized that I didn't have the bottle. Score one for me! We backtracked to the bathroom and it wasn't there either. It's now 7 hours later and I still have no idea where that bottle is.

Once we were done with our shopping and after having met Marmie in the food court for lunch, we headed to the movies. We saw Enchanted. Well, I should say I saw Enchanted because Emmy slept through the whole thing. She's slept all day long. I'm not looking forward to this evening because sleeping all day does not bode well for sleeping at night. :(

Please keep praying for us because lack of sleep is soooo not fun for me.
