Okay, so we bought a car . . . :) I love this car. It makes me feel like a grown up but not an old fart and it is a super safe car for Emily so everyone wins.
I waited the month between getting the car and getting the tag and we kept waiting and waiting for the title paperwork to come in. When it didn't, I started calling to find out what the deal was. Apparently it just takes longer to get titles cleared on used vehicles which was why it was taking a bit more time. However, in the meantime, the dealership realized that the car had been traded in with an expired tag so they went ahead and brought the tag up to date and got us a metal tag. Problem #1 solved. Oh, and then on top of that, we won't have to worry about the taxes or title for another month because they weren't able to do that in a timely manner either. Blessing #2.
Today I got another call that, at first, scared me. The guy from the dealership was talking about our financing, etc and of course (because I'm an idiot) my first thought was "I'm gonna have to give the car back." Nope. . . He just called to tell me that because of the delay, we do have to re-sign all the paperwork but because of that, the financial paperwork would be dated today instead of June 25th and our first payment won't be due until SEPTEMBER! Blessing #3. . . no car payment for an ADDITIONAL month.
I mean, how rad is that? How amazing is God?
