Memorial Day 2009

I think that this past Memorial Day weekend was one of the best I've ever had. Three whole days to rest and relax and just enjoy spending time with Scott and Emily.

Saturday: Mom, Dad and Emily enjoy some breakfast, head to Norman to play at Reaves Park, go to Marmie's for naps and then played in the moonbounce and sprinkler. Cousin Hailee spent the night and we made home made pizzas, watched The Wild, painted our fingers and toes and got some good sleep.
Sunday: The whole family goes to LifeChurch.tv South Oklahoma City AFTER a quick stop for donut holes at Daylight Donuts. Afterwards, Emily gets to go play at Grandma and Grandpa DeHart's house, swinging and sliding and even seeing Auntie Dee and Cousin Kylin. Mom and Dad watch The Lion King downtown and have a quiet, leisurely lunch with no high chairs involved!!! Later that night, we headed to our house, played on the swings and ran around the back yard before going to bed.

Monday: We got up, Emily helped mommy make orange cinnamon rolls and everybody watched some Franklin on Noggin. Then . . . the dreaded morning nap. But once that was over, we headed to Marmie and Papa's house and hit the jackpot! A moonbounce, slip n slide, water sprinkler, kiddie pool, Elmo splash mat, swings and a cookout! The whole family was there and even Gran, Pa and Nana drove up for the cookout.

Here are some of the best pictures of the day.
