Wheelin' in style

Emily received so many great toys this Christmas. Santa stops at Grandma and Grandpa's and also at Marmie and Papa's before he ever stops at our house. She got a pony with wheels and a rocking horse that talks (which freaked her out at first but now she loves to push on the ears herself to hear the little song it plays). She also got a train that just cracks her up. You can put blocks in the smoke stack and they shoot into the caboose of the train. She has now gotten so industrious that she looks for other toys to put in the smoke stack and so far she's not gotten anything stuck.

When Santa came from our house, he left her a pretty pink car. So far, we've had very few nice days to go out and take a storll in the car but we have been out once or twice. She LOVES this thing. And Heaven forbid if you slow down or (unthinkable) stop along the walk. She will stand up and jump, as best as she can with a seat belt on, to get things going again. Even if it is only a few inches, she has to be in motion.

We've watched as she gets her lean on and relaxes with one arm up on the side of the car and one hand on the steering wheel . . . when she's been a cautious driver and been very sure to stick with the 10 and 2 position . . . and when she's done a little Holy Ghost drivin' with both hands in the air (praise Jesus!) :)

Here are some pictures of her outings:

And. . . if I can work it out. . . a video of yesterday's walk.

Wahoo! Mommy rocks! It worked!
