Because I'm the mommy. . .

Okay, I can honestly say that I now understand the sentiments of all moms when they say that motherhood is the hardest job you'll ever have. I mean, there are no days off (only the lucky, rare night off when MY mommy has kept her in order to let me sleep), no sick time (and I've been sick for over a week now), no pinch hitter. . .

BUT, there ARE those immensely (albeit kinda perverse) satisfying times when I'm the only one who can settle Em down, or the only one who she cuddles up with and that's when I just sigh and think it's "because I'm her mommy." :)

I have four more weeks off to enjoy her and then it's back to my job as den mother, er, I mean administrative assistant at work. lol
