Yeah. . . 11 p.m. and I should be fast asleep but I'm not. Let me set the scene for you:
One one side of my bed lies my husband. Adorable, wonderful man that I married and since we are Bible-abiding folk, we didn't live or spend the night together before we got married. If we had, I'd have known that he SNORES loud enough to wake the dead.
On the other side of my bed is my sweet, precious, almost-three-weeks-old baby girl, in her bassinett. While she doesn't snore as loudly as her daddy, she still whimpers, grunts, and honks like a canadian goose when she's shifting in her sleep.
In the middle of this cacophany is moi: staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out why I can't get to sleep when my eyes wouldn't stay open a mere hour before. So, I got up, took some ibuprofen (because the snoring, grunting, honking symphony along with the exhaustion is giving me a bit of a headache) and am trying to make myself even MORE tired so that I can go back in there and go to sleep despite the noise level.
I COULD go to the guest bed to sleep but there's a reason we put that bed in the guest bedroom. The bed sucks. We don't like guests so we figure if they stay there once, they won't come back. HA!
Now that my secret is out, I would like to soothe any hurt feelings by sharing another adorable picture of our little honker:
I've been told she looks more and more like her daddy as she matures. :)
