Okay, so growing up there was one thing my sister and I would NEVER be able to get out of. Thank you notes. Darn it, if someone bought you a gift, you thanked them via the US postal service because not to do so would be a travesty of monumental proportions. My mother called me every day for WEEKS after I got married and moved to Kansas to see if I had sent out my last thank you notes yet. Like I had no reason to be delayed in doing so, I'd just gotten married and moved 300 miles away to set up a new home! :)
Anyhow, it is really bothering me that thank you notes have not yet gone out for the baby shower my sister threw for me last weekend. (the 20th, not like this very last weekend). However, I absolutely HATE going to the post office! And when Scott went to pick up stamps, the kiosk was out and I told him I'd take care of it, which, I of course, did not do. So today I realized that thanks to modern technology, I can order stamps ONLINE! (Can I get an Amen?)
But now, I have to share something with you that I just find completely humorous. The United States Postal Service charges shipping for products ordered on their website. I'm paying shipping for stamps. . . to a government entity that visits my house SIX DAYS A WEEK! Okay, I know that perhaps that's not funny to everyone but it sure as heck made me chuckle. lol.
