Jesus and the Joys of Motherhood

So this morning, I learned two valuable lessons. . .

1. When your 1 year old says "mommy, I poopy diapee" you should pay attention. I didn't. Because, let's face it, one of her favorite words right now is poop. She tells me all the time "I go poop" when she didn't.

Today she did. UGH.

So while we're cleaning up a mess that came out of the diapee and dripped on the floor, I learned my second lesson.

2. 1 year olds are sponges and will repeat everything you say. During clean up this morning, I just kept saying "Oh, God" both because I was appalled and because I needed some divine strength to get me through the morning. Well, little miss priss is standing next to me, cleaned up, sans diaper, just grinning like a loon and saying "ah, God . .. ah, God." So then of course I have to tell her not to say that. And then I say it AGAIN. It was a fun little circle we went in.

Let's review the lessons okay?
1. it's time to start trusting Emily's poop announcements
2. only talk to God when you're actually talking to God

Have a great day!
