So, last week we discovered that Emily was cutting three . . . THREE molars all at the same time. With that came a little fever that was enough to irritate her but not enough to be concerned about.
Monday, daycare called and said I needed to come get her because she was running a fever (still nothing out of the ordinary for teething) and was miserable. I picked her up and boy was she ever miserable. She had cried most of the day and had gotten herself all worked up.
Yesterday, she stayed with my mom for most of the day and then went home early with me. She was still not feeling well but was happy enough to see her Marmie and get to play.
Last night it hit . . . about 1:45 a.m., Emily woke us up. She was in her crib, facedown, just wailing. Scott picked her up, told me she was on fire and brought her to our room. We took her temp and she was baking at 104.6. It scared the pee out of me. A few calls to our after hours service, a hit of Tylenol and about an hour of rocking with momma later, and she was at least a little better.
This morning we went to the doctor's office and found out that she likely has a virus. It was incredible. No other symptoms but one little virus can turn my happy little girl into a sad, miserable cuddlebug. Luckily, she had plenty of Marmie time today to keep her happy and comforted. Tomorrow she gets Daddy and Friday it's back to Momma. It's not exactly the spring break we had planned but I have a feeling we're going to be just fine.
