A welcome weekend surprise

So yesterday Emily and I went out to my mom and dad's in the country (okay, Choctaw isn't THAT country but it's country-er) but before we got there, my dad called and offered to keep the divine Miss Em overnight so Scott and I could get a good night's sleep.

And sleep I did. I slept for over 12 hours. I mean . . . sheesh! Anyhow, I woke up this morning and within half an hour of waking, Scott and I were at the movie theater. It was a double header and really, what better way to spend your day than with Batman then Fox Mulder?

We're not the only ones who had fun . . . Emily went to a waterpark with Marmie, Grandpa, Aunt Courtni (and Jackson), Nathan, and Hailee. :) Bless her little heart. She is taking amoxicilin for the first time and when she gets warm, her whole face gets splotchy. But it still looked like she had a great time.

Overall, it's been a lovely weekend. I'm well rested, Emily is cozy in her room and it's the final night of DesignStar. What more could you ask for?
