My happy girl

Yesterday I was listening to a song that immediately made me think of my daughter. More specifically, it made me think of the way she wakes up. Here are some lyrics:

I don't know why this triggered a thought of Emmy but when I hear it, I immediately get a picture of her smiling face in my head. I told my mother this morning that I haven't seen her wake up fussy a day in her short life. She opens her eyes and automatically has a smile on her face.

I wish I woke up every day that way.

Yesterday when I was listening to the song and seeing her face in my head, I thought, that is how I should wake up every day. Smiling and thinking "how awesome is God?! I can't wait to see what He's got for me today."
