Pacifier vs. Thumb

Okay . . . yesterday, Emmy found her thumb. I know that thumb sucking is a terribly difficult habit to break, but gosh darn it! She looks adorable when she's got that little fist up to her face and gets that thumb in her mouth. However, I don't want to have to break her of sucking her thumb so everytime her thumb went in, we'd pull it out and give Emmy a pacifier. At least with a pacifier, we can do the pacifier fairy thing (come on! Don't any of you watch the Super Nanny?).

The down side to this is that last night, she was REALLY into the pacifier and every time it would fall out or she'd spit it out accidentally, etc, she'd wake up and start grunting or honking. lol. We were lying in bed last night at about 11 p.m. and I told Scott that I really wished we could get her honking on video but it's not like we have scheduled honking time. :) And it doesn't usually last long enough for us to grab the camera once she starts. Oh well. I doubt I'll ever forget what our little "goose" sounds like.
