I went to the doctor's office yesterday and now, Emily is measuring "perfectly." I already knew she was perfect, but it's always good to hear it from others. lol.
And yes, I did get drawn on. My c-section will not be in the usual spot, but just above my belly button actually. Dr. G said he could make my belly ring scar disappear. lol. Trading a tiny scar from the belly ring for a bigger scar from the c-section. Oh well, it's a trade off I suppose. And I'd much rather have the benefits of the bigger scar than what I got when I got that darned belly button ring. I was such a dork. . .
However, the best part of the whole visit is when Dr. G said that after I'm done having babies. . . he'll even take out some of my tummy fat when he closes me up at the end of the last delivery!! How cool is that? I think that's when I told him we should get married. Ha!
Speaking of tummy art, I'm almost ready to do the belly cast! I know that some people think it's silly but hey, what if Emmy is the only baby I get? I'm doing everything I want to do so that I don't look back and think "I wish I'd done . . ." So I think that perhaps next week, we're going to do my belly cast (boy isn't that gonna be some bonding time between Scott and I?) and I'll post pictures of the cast here once we get it done. One of the sites I visited suggested having a third person there so you could photograph the process but. . . ew. No. Y'all don't need to see that and I certainly don't want to share it. ;)
